The first full day of the 2015 Winter X Games commences Wednesday with qualifiers for three different snowboarding events and the elimination and final rounds for another.

Eyes across the winter sports world turn to Aspen on Thursday for this year’s version of the Winter X Games.


The qualifying rounds for the Men’s, Women’s and Adaptive Snowboarder X events kick off the day, which begins at 1 p.m. ET. Later in the day, the Men’s Snowboard Superpipe elimination and finals take place.
Nate Holland is the favorite on the Men’s side of the Snowboarder X event. He has won seven gold medals in that competition at the X Games, including five straight from 2006-10. Lindsey Jacobellis, the Women’s favorite, has taken home eight Snowboarder X gold medals from the X Games and has also earned an Olympic silver in the event.
