Two groups have been decided at the 2015 League of Legends World Championship, while two still remain. Saturday saw Group D come to a close, joining Group A and Group C in sending two teams to the knockout round.
League of Legends World Championship 2015 scores: KT Rolster wins Group D, Origen advances
TSM and LGD go home.

Coming into the day, Origen held a one-game lead on top of the group with a 3-0 record. KT Rolster was in second with a 2-1 mark, while TeamSoloMid was third at 1-2. Chinese champions and preseason tournament favorite LGD Gaming entered the day in last place with an 0-3 record, and needed a strong Saturday to even think about making it past the group round.
It took just three games to find out who would be advancing. An opening-game win for Origen solidified its spot in the quarterfinals, while KT Rolster won against LGD and TSM to secure its place in London. The deciding game for the No. 1 seed went in KT Rolster’s favor, as Origen lost its last two games of the day.
Every team entered the day with a chance of advancing, but Origen needed just a single win to move on. Taiwanese squad Flash Wolves won Group A, with KOO Tigers also advancing. Group C went as expected, with SKT emerging unscathed as the No. 1 seed and EDG also moving on to the knockout rounds.
Full stats, scores and recaps below, updated as the games finish.
Team SoloMid vs. Origen
Origen 9-6, 55:27
Bans: Kalista, Tahm Kench, Lulu; Twisted Fate, Mordekaiser, Gangplank
| TSM | KDA | CS | Origen | KDA | CS |
| Dyrus (Malphite) | 0/2/1 | 359 | Soaz (Kennen) | 4/1/4 | 448 |
| Santorin (Elise) | 1/1/3 | 122 | Amazing (Gragas) | 1/0/4 | 155 |
| Bjergsen (Syndra) | 2/1/3 | 510 | xPeke (Orianna) | 1/3/4 | 565 |
| WildTurtle (Jinx) | 3/2/1 | 480 | Niels (Kog'Maw) | 1/1/6 | 480 |
| Lustboy (Morgana) | 0/3/5 | 41 | Mithy (Thresh) | 2/1/6 | 16 |
Entering the day Bjergsen led all Worlds mid laners in a variety of damage-based statistics, and TSM attempted to take advantage of that lead early by ganking mid. Santorin picked up First Blood on Xpeke, giving TSM the first lead of the game.
TSM held the gold advantage at 10 minutes, like in many games this tournament (and this regular season), and WildTurtle killed xPeke again at 12 minutes to make it a 1k lead. Origen was able to take the gold lead back 17 minutes in after tying up the towers taken at 3-3.
At 19 minutes, Soaz was able to catch WildTurtle trying to take Origen’s raptors, taking him out to get his team’s first kill of the game. At 31 minutes, the two teams traded Dragon (No. 4 for Origen) for a mid inhibitor (TSM’s first), but Origen still held the gold lead.
With four Dragons, Origen forced TSM to contest a Dragon at 37 minutes. Since TSM only had one Dragon at that point, Origen let them have it and simply walked over for the first Baron of the game. Both teams were in position when the next Dragon spawned at 44 minutes, but WildTurtle stole the fifth Dragon from Origen from outside the pit.
Origen was able to take Baron again at 46 minutes, using that to take the top lane inhibitor and break open TSM’s base. After first appearing to leave TSM’s base, Origen returned with four people (including Soaz’s teleport) to take out Dyrus and one Nexus tower. TSM managed to take Niels down in the ensuing fight, however, controlling Dragon and looking in a position to deny No. 5 from Origen again. But Amazing was able to outsmite Santorin, taking Dragon 5 and giving Origen a strong advantage.

KT Rolster 16-2, 39:59
Bans: Kalista, Lee Sin, Rek’Sai; Azir, Gangplank, Elise
| KT Rolster | KDA | CS | LGD | KDA | CS |
| Ssumday (Renekton) | 3/0/7 | 318 | Flame (Darius) | 1/4/0 | 217 |
| Score (Gragas) | 3/1/8 | 116 | TBQ (Evelynn) | 1/4/1 | 106 |
| Nagne (Lulu) | 2/1/12 | 414 | GODV (Anivia) | 0/3/2 | 332 |
| Arrow (Mordekaiser) | 7/0/6 | 297 | imp (Tristana) | 0/3/2 | 332 |
| Piccaboo (Thresh) | 1/0/10 | 67 | Pyl (Alistar) | 0/2/2 | 50 |
Another game, another poor draft leading to a convincing LGD loss. The Chinese champions moved to 0-4 in the tournament after allowing KT Rolster to pick both Mordekaiser and Lulu, and have been knocked out of the tournament.
KT Rolster took an early lead when Score ganked the bottom lane, catching Pyl and giving Arrow an important First Blood advantage on Mordekaiser.
Flame, subbing in for Acorn, held an early farm advantage in lane over Ssumday, but a double-kill for the Renekton helped close the gold margin. Arrow followed up with his second kill, and managed to avoid dying when Piccaboo hooked Pyl off of his lantern, allowing Arrow to flash onto it and away from the four LGD members trying to kill him.

— LoL Esports #Worlds (@lolesports) October 10, 2015 Arrow picked up a double-kill 20 minutes in, giving KT Rolster a 6-0 lead and the first inner turret of the game (thanks to imp’s ghost’s sieging). Up 7-2 10 minutes later, KT won a fight near Baron 4-0 thanks to a perfect Ssumday teleport flank, and used that to pick up Baron. KT Rolster picked up a clean ace soon after, winning in dominant fashion.

KT Rolster 21-12, 46:56
Bans: Gragas, LeBlanc, Lulu; Mordekaiser, Gangplank, Darius
| TSM | KDA | CS | KT Rolster | KDA | CS |
| Dyrus (Malphite) | 0/2/6 | 252 | Ssumday (Olaf) | 7/2/8 | 373 |
| Santorin (Elise) | 3/4/6 | 143 | Score (Rek'Sai) | 0/5/14 | 166 |
| Bjergsen (Veigar) | 5/6/7 | 366 | Nagne (Azir) | 8/2/7 | 429 |
| WildTurtle (Kog'Maw) | 4/6/6 | 354 | Arrow (Jinx) | 6/1/10 | 436 |
| Lustboy (Morgana) | 0/3/12 | 38 | Piccaboo (Janna) | 0/2/18 | 23 |
After a slow start to the game, TSM used both of its teleports to make it a 5-man gank bottom. Santorin picked up First Blood and Bjergsen got two kills as the North American side took a 4-1 lead.
As has become a pattern, TSM’s 10-minute gold lead didn’t last long. WildTurtle was able to pick up a kill on Score 15 minutes in to take the lead back, but by 18 minutes KT had a 1k gold advantage. Bjergsen was able to pick up kill No. 3 on Score, but WildTurtle was caught out in the fight and Bjergsen was knocked by the flash-Janna ult from Piccaboo into KT’s team, making it a 2-1 fight in KT’s favor.
The next team fight went disastrously for TSM, as KT Rolster picked up an ace and a quadra kill onto Nagne near Dragon. The next Dragon fight went 4-2 in KT’s favor, as it became more and more clear KT had the objective play/team fight advantage. TSM’s strong late game was thwarted by KT’s ability to consistently pick off Bjergsen and WildTurtle early in fights with Ssumday.
Bjergsen was able to pick off Nagne 39 minutes in, allowing TSM to take a Baron to bring the game back closer. TSM took the first inhibitor of the game with the buff, but a 4-0 fight in KT’s favor allowed the Korean side to end the game and advance to the quarterfinals.

LGD 22-7, 39:41
Bans: Lee Sin, Rek’Sai, Lulu; Gangplank, Mordekaiser, Elise
| Origen | KDA | CS | LGD | KDA | CS |
| Soaz (Malphite) | 2/1/2 | 228 | Flame (Olaf) | 6/1/6 | 265 |
| Amazing (Evelynn) | 0/3/6 | 104 | TBQ (Gragas) | 1/2/10 | 162 |
| xPeke (Orianna) | 2/4/2 | 362 | GODV (Diana) | 6/2/10 | 366 |
| Niels (Kalista) | 3/6/3 | 310 | imp (Graves) | 9/2/6 | 356 |
| Mithy (Kennen) | 0/8/5 | 21 | Pyl (Janna) | 0/0/18 | 13 |
LGD was able to get off to a good start for arguably the first time in the tournament, staying even on the lane swap and getting First Blood onto GODV thanks to a 3 vs. 1 gank in the mid lane. GODV picked up another kill after a TBQ Explosive Cask knocked Mithy under LGD’s tower, and LGD took a 2-1 team fight to make it 4-1.
An aggressive move by TBQ led to a 3-3 team fight, and a 4-2 fight in LGD’s favor gave the Chinese squad its first real commanding lead of the tournament.

— LoL Esports #Worlds (@lolesports) October 10, 2015 Origen continued its sloppy play in this match after one of the strongest starts in the tournament, letting the LGD grow to 14-6 before giving up a 32-minute Baron.
LGD won the ensuing team fight 3-0, as GODV dodged what would have been a killer Shockwave from xPeke with Zhonya’s Hourglass. After an ace inside Origen’s base, LGD finished the game for the team’s first win of Worlds.

KT Rolster 24-17, 40:20
Bans: Azir, Lulu, Olaf; Mordekaiser, Gangplank, Kalista
| Origen | KDA | CS | KT Rolster | KDA | CS |
| Soaz (Kennen) | 0/9/3 | 288 | Ssumday (Darius) | 12/3/6 | 330 |

| Mithy (Thresh) | 1/5/11 | 32 | Piccaboo (Shen) | 0/6/15 | 80 |
Origen seemed to set itself up in good position bottom lane with a top + jungler 2 vs 2 fight, but Nagne teleported down to help Ssumday get First Blood on Soaz. Nagne picked off Amazing 1 vs. 1 in the jungle, and Score took out Soaz soon after to make it 3-0 KT Rolster.
A 4-1 fight for KT across two lanes made the lead a significant one, but trailing 12-2 Origen managed to secure four unanswered kills (with three on Niels). After a few more kills for KT seemed to open up the game again, Origen made a nice teleport play to secure two kills after a KT Baron.
Ultimately, KT’s global team comp was too much for Origen to handle, with essentially four teleports between summoner spells and ultimates (as well as Jinx’s global ultimate). Every time a fight broke out, KT was instantly able to outnumber Origen, winning a hard-fought game and the group.

LGD 29-14, 36:50
Bans: Lulu, Twisted Fate, Azir; Gangplank, Mordekaiser, Lee Sin
| LGD | KDA | CS | TSM | KDA | CS |
| Flame (Darius) | 4/1/7 | 221 | Dyrus (Gnar) | 3/6/5 | 210 |
| TBQ (Elise) | 5/2/15 | 124 | Santorin (Gragas) | 0/4/9 | 100 |

| imp (Vayne) | 11/4/6 | 308 | WildTurtle (Jinx) | 7/8/4 | 279 |
| Pyl (Tahm Kench) | 0/5/18 | 41 | Lustboy (Thresh) | 1/6/11 | 56 |
TBQ helped make up for a poor tournament with First Blood on Dyrus, and picked up the second kill of the game on Lustboy. LGD took an early 4-1 lead, but a 3-0 team fight for TSM resulted in a turret and the gold lead. GODV picked off WildTurtle twice, and LGD soon found itself with a 10-5 lead.
TSM started to make a comeback thanks to a huge team fight in its own jungle, spurred by a perfect flash-ultimate from Dyrus. WildTurtle technically got a triple kill but killed four LGD players in the fight, leading to an ace. That cut LGD’s kill lead to 11-10 and evened up the goal, but a double kill for imp helped set up Baron.
A clean ace for LGD broke the TSM base open at 33 minutes, and desperation Baron backfired for the NA squad, resulting in a 4-0 fight and another inhibitor down. It was easy for LGD from that point, strolling into the TSM base for the win.
