Colby Rasmus hits single off Minute Maid Park roof

Houston Astros outfielder Colby Rasmus hit a relatively routine fly ball to right field in the eighth inning of Game 3 of their American League Division Series against the Kansas City Royals, only the play was anything but routine. The ball struck the roof in Houston, closed for Sunday's game, giving Rasmus a gift single.

Per the Minute Maid Park ground rules, that ball is in play since it landed in fair territory.

Rasmus entered Sunday having homered in all three of Houston’s postseason games so far, so perhaps the Royals should count holding him to a single as a win.
