Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown has been as hot as any quarterback in the game since his Week 3 return from a concussion. That hot play continued Sunday in the Browns’ 33-30 overtime win over division rival Baltimore Ravens.
Josh McCown has huge game in win, fantasy value on the rise
The Cleveland quarterback has been red-hot since returning from his concussion. We break down the fantasy implications.

McCown threw for 457 yards on 36-of-51 passing on Sunday, with two passing touchdowns. He also ran the ball three times for 12 yards, adding a rushing touchdown in the process. The last three weeks, McCown has now thrown for 1,154 yards, with six passing touchdowns against one interception.
Fantasy impact: Partial credit for McCown’s big game has to go to the Ravens’ defense, which has also made Derek Carr and Andy Dalton look like world-beaters, and made even Michael Vick look marginally competent. Baltimore just has no pass rush, and quarterbacks have been able to take advantage.
McCown gets credit himself, though. Take out Week 1 when he was injured on the first drive, and he’s averaging 25.3 fantasy points a game this season. And he’s doing so without any “name” weapons, relying primarily on wide receiver Travis Benjamin, tight end Gary Barnidge and running backs Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson Jr.
McCown is still the quarterback who looked awful in Tampa Bay in 2014, who is a 36-year-old journeyman, but if he can keep putting up these numbers or close, he’s going to find himself with more fantasy relevance than we ever expected.
