EU LCS Spring Split MVP FORG1VEN has been benched by Gambit Gaming and put up for transfer, the team announced in a statement.
Gambit Gaming benches FORG1VEN, puts former EU LCS MVP up for transfer
After a disappointing spring split with his new team, the controversial Greek AD Carry will be moving on.
This decision obviously was not simple, since we expected to achieve more with him on our roster. Even though FORG1VEN’s individual performance was nothing short of outstanding, we failed to come up with an approach to the game that would allow him to transition his individual proficiency into a significant in-game impact.
We are not interested in keeping FORG1VEN on our bench until his contract expires by the end of LCS EU Spring 2016. He has already experienced this unpleasant situation. Besides, we believe that he will be able to fulfill himself in another team. Consequently, we are putting him up for transfer and are ready to negotiate deals with interested parties.
After a few seasons with lower-level teams, FORG1VEN replaced Rekkles as the AD Carry for Copenhagen Wolves in October 2013. Shortly after leaving the team, FORG1VEN was fined by Riot for "in-game harassment, verbal abuse and general in game toxicity."
FORG1VEN joined SK Gaming in November 2014, and won the EU LCS Spring Split MVP after leading the league in KDA (12.3) and gold per minute (453). He left for Gambit Gaming before the Summer Split, seeing a steep drop in his KDA (3.2) and gold per minute (403.6). FORG1VEN was once again punished for toxic behavior in July, receiving a four-game suspension for “targeted harassment and the use of discriminatory language.
