Kyle Schwarber is still at large after murdering a baseball on Tuesday.
Cubs keeping the corpse of Kyle Schwarber’s HR ball atop the Wrigley Field scoreboard
It’s a miracle the scoreboard is still there, really.

Still at large, still large, it’s a fine line. The ball somehow ended up on top of the scoreboard after rattling around, and according to the Cubs, they’re going to keep it there for a while. From the Chicago Tribune:
The source said the Cubs will decide what to do with the ball after the season, but wanted to leave it there for now as a memento of the Game 4 win. The Cubs will put a plexiglass case around it for now to preserve it from the elements.
An employee removed it to verify it was the Schwarber home run, which probably shook the magic dust off and re-jinxed everything for Cubs fans forever and always, but they’re going to put it back and keep it there for the postseason.
If the Cubs win, it’s hard to imagine the thing ever leaving.
