Team SoloMid will enter the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split with new players in the top lane and at jungler and support. The team announced Wednesday that Santorin and Lustboy will be stepping down from the lineup in addition to Dyrus.
TSM announces departures of Lustboy, Santorin and Dyrus from League of Legends roster
The North American power will be replacing more than half of its starting lineup.
We already knew Dyrus would be retiring after his emotional speech at Worlds, but the other two came as a surprise to many observers and fans. Lustboy will also be retiring, in part due to shoulder injuries, and both will stay a part of the TSM organization. Dyrus will join former TSM jungler TheOddOne in the “TSM Retirement Home” as a full-time streamer, while Lustboy will be an analyst for the team, the release says.
In the statement, Santorin said he will “most likely not be playing competitive League of Legends anymore,” and intends to stream full-time as well.
After finishing first in the Spring Split, TSM struggled in the Summer Split, finishing fifth in the regular season.
Dyrus ranked fourth among all NA top laners with a 4.15 KDA, and seventh with 319.16 gold per minute. Santorin ranked first among NA junglers with a 9.05 KDA and sixth in gold per minute at 294.01. Lustboy ranked fifth among supports with a 3.65 KDA and fourth in gold per minute at 227.
TSM finished in fourth place in Group D at Worlds, with a 1-5 record boosted by a win over LGD Gaming. Dyrus, Santorin and Lustboy all ranked 12th in the tournament at their respective positions in KDA.
