League of Legends Worlds 2015 power rankings: The best teams, players and champions so far
Hey, this has been fun, and this list is supposed to be fun!
1. SKTelecom T1: I mean, there’s no real choice, right? SKT ran through the group stage with a dominating 6-0 record, has the most talented roster in the world and made easy work of Edward Gaming, thought to be its best competition, twice. SKT won Worlds in 2013, and looks poised to become the first repeat winner ever.
2. KT Rolster: One of the most impressive teams in the group stage, KT Rolster went 5-1, taking solid control of the only group that had a unanimous No. 1 pick heading into the tournament (hint: KT wasn’t the one favored). KT has received excellent play from Ssumday in the top lane, and with Edward Gaming looking shaky we could be set for an All-Korean final.
3. Edward Gaming: The MSI champions have not looked quite so dominant so far, but it’s difficult to dismiss the last team to win an international tournament. The only Chinese squad remaining has perhaps the best jungle/support combination in the world, and a replacement in the top lane may help overcome some of the early issues. It’s going to have a tough time in the quarterfinals, however, faced with a revitalized...
4. Fnatic: The European champions had a rough first week in the group stages, but rebounded with a 3-0 Week 2 to win Group B. Huni was able to improve his play tremendously in the week off, and the matchup between him and Koro1 will be vital to this series, maybe the most highly anticipated of the quarterfinal round. And if Fnatic keeps on pulling out inventive picks like AD Carry Kennen, who knows what will happen!

5. ahq e-Sports Club: The 5/6 spot was probably the most difficult to pick, but ahq gets the edge thanks to its strong finish in the group stage. After a good performance at MSI, ahq won three of four games on a hectic final to secure its place in the quarterfinals. What does ahq get rewarded with? SKT, of course. No matter what happens in the quarters, ahq can be proud of its performance.
6. KOO Tigers: KOO would have been significantly higher on this list if it hadn’t dropped its last group game to Flash Wolves, thus losing the No. 1 seed. But the Korean side still has one of the best supports in the tournament in GorillA and the jungler with the highest KDA at Worlds in Hojin. KT Rolster will be a tough matchup, but stranger things have happened!
7. Origen: One of the big Week 1 surprises slowed down a bit in the second week, but a 4-2 record was enough to advance to the knockout rounds. xPeke has reverted to old form in the mid lane no matter the champion, Niels continues to be a revelation at AD Carry and Origen’s shot-calling is among the best of any team in the tournament.
8. Flash Wolves: No slight to the Wolves, who played very well to win Group A, but there are just a lot of very good teams in the quarterfinals! Wolves may match up well with Origen, however: Karsa has been great in the jungle, and the switch to NL at AD Carry brought very promising results.
