Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Michael Vick has likely had his last hurrah in fantasy. The veteran was forced from Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Landry Jones, who looked much better than Vick in helping lead the Steelers to a 25-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Michael Vick leaves with hamstring issue; fantasy value basically gone
The Pittsburgh quarterback has struggled since becoming the starter and is now hurt. We break down the fantasy implications.

Vick also left briefly earlier in the game with an eye issue. All told, he was 3-of-8 passing for six yards, and ran the ball five times for 47 yards. In his absence, Jones went 8-of-12 passing for 168 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Let’s see. The Steelers had Ben Roethlisberger apparently close to his return coming into Week 6. Jones looked reasonably strong filling in for Vick against a stout defense. Meanwhile, Vick has now played basically three full games as the primary Pittsburgh quarterback, and hasn’t looked like an NFL quarterback in any of them.
It all adds up to Vick, regardless of whether he’s healthy for Week 7, having virtually no fantasy value. If Roethlisberger can give it a go, he’ll have the starting job back, of course, but even if the star can’t make it back on the field, it stands to reason the Steelers would go to Jones, who has at least looked competent.
