Breeders’ Cup 2015 results: Todd Pletcher, Javier Castellano win 2 Friday races

Liam’s Map was the heavy favorite at 1/2 odds to win the Las Vegas Dirt Mile, and Castellano rode him to a 2½-length victory, ahead of Lea and Red Vine.
Castellano then rode Stopchargingmaria to a win in the Longines Distaff by a neck over Stellar Wind. Curalina finished third, 3½ lengths back. Stopchargingmaria bumped Stellar Wind in the final turn.
“For a moment I thought I was going to go by (Castellano),” Stellar Wind jockey Victor Espinoza told the Louisville Courier-Journal. “It cost me the race when he moved out and I checked her. But you know what? She ran great and I’m proud of her.”
In the earlier races Friday, Catch A Glimpse captured the Juvenile Fillies Turf, winning the mile race at 6.4/1 odds by ¾ lengths over Alice Springs, with Nemoralia finishing third.
In the Juvenile Turf, Hit It A Bomb narrowly beat favorite Airoforce by a neck, with Birchwood finishing third.
