Breeders’ Cup Classic video: American Pharoah dominates final race

Despite coming off a loss in his last race, American Pharoah looked as strong as ever. He moved to the front of the race early on and set the pace. While the field ran well with him initially and remained within range, American Pharoah saved his best for last.
When the horses made the final turn, American Pharoah had roughly a two-length lead. Victor Espinoza and American Pharoah opened things up from there and blew away the field down the final stretch. The lead increased all the way to the finish line with American Pharoah ultimately winning by 6.5 lengths.
The decisive victory was a fitting end to American Pharoah’s career. He had already made history by becoming the first horse in 37 years to win the Triple Crown. Now, he’s the first horse to add a Breeders’ Cup Classic victory on top of the Triple Crown.
