LeBron James is a very nice guy. Just last night he took a selfie with a bunch of kids (and a proud dad) during a preseason game. But he wouldn't have gotten to where he is without a bit of an edge.
LeBron James says he’ll bust anyone who wears his shoes

During an interview with GQ, he went in-depth on how he uses other NBA players wearing his shoes to get himself amped up, which you can hear at the six minute mark:
If you can’t listen to the video, here’s what he had to say:
I used to see guys wear MJ’s shoes when they played against MJ and I was like “MJ got a little mental edge over those guys.”
So for me, now being in that MJ class, I’m like, if I see a guy wearing my shoes, if he’s not like a real good brother of mine - because you know I’ve got some guys that are Team LeBron and that’s what we do - but if you’re just a guy and you go to Foot Locker or somewhere and you just get a pair of LeBrons and you want to wear them on a Tuesday night against me? I’m gonna bust your a**.
LeBron also does something else that you might not expect in order to keep loose: Ride a motorcycle. When he was asked about how the Cavaliers felt about their star player riding around on a motorcycle, here's what he had to say:
Oh man, they’re like “What are you doing?” And I’m like “What you think I’m doing? I’m getting a breath of fresh air. You know? I’ve got one life with this, so that’s what I’m doing.”
Only having one life seems like a great argument against riding a motorcycle when you’re getting paid millions of dollars to be in elite physical shape, but hey, to each their own.
