More than 100 people are dead because of shootings and bombings taking place in Paris on Friday night, according to the Agence France-Presse. Multiple shootings have been reported, as well as a hostage situation at the Bataclan theater. France has reportedly declared a state of emergency.

At roughly the same time as the shootings, reports surfaced of bombings outside of the Stade de France where the French and German men’s national soccer teams were playing, several kilometers north of where initial shootings were reported. French president Francois Hollande was evacuated from the stadium during the game. An explosion was audible during the first half of the match.

The game finished as normal. After the game, fans were allowed to stay in the stadium and take refuge on the field.

Details are still emerging about the nature of the incidents. Reuters reported that United States security officials believe the attacks were coordinated. Friday morning, the hotel in which the German national team was staying was evacuated due to a bomb threat.
