Mark Cuban calls Colin Cowherd ‘an idiot when it comes to eSports’

James Dator
James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

Mark Cuban was at the Intel Extreme Masters in San Jose to play a little League of Legends ARAM and -- well -- talk a little trash about Colin Cowherd. Speculation has been rife that Cuban is looking to buy into eSports, and he’s remaining coy on the topic saying we’ll have to “wait and see.” That didn’t stop him from telling the crowd that FOX’s Colin Cowherd is “an idiot when it comes to eSports,” referring to the former ESPN host’s criticism of professional play.

Cuban did a lot more than that. He was fined $15,000 for dropping the f-bomb during his game play, and when told the money would go to charity he double-downed, AGAIN swearing to send a total of $30,000 to Cybersmile, an anti-cyberbulling charity.

If you’re interested in how Cuban played, you can see the full video of the ARAM below. Spoiler: He wasn’t very good. It’s the thought that counts, though, and Cuban won A LOT of fans in San Jose.
