On Thanksgiving Thursday for the 14th straight year, NBC will air the the National Dog Show, where one of more than 1,700 purebred dogs from 199 different breeds will be crowned as Best in Show.

Here’s all you need to know to watch the 2015 National Dog Show.


The show, which has an annual audience of more than 20 million viewers, will be hosted by actor John O’Hurley, who is best known for playing Mr. Peterman in Seinfeld. He’ll joined by USA Network’s expert purebred analyst David Frei. NBC sportscaster Mary Carillo will provide backstage reporting.
Seven new breeds will be featured in this year’s show: the Lagotto Romagnolo (sporting group), the Berger Picard (herding group), the Miniature American Shepherd (herding group), the Bergamasco (herding group), the Spanish Water Dog (herding group), the Cirneco dell’Etna (hound group) and the Boerboel (working group).
The two-hour special will air at noon in all time zones directly after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Additional content will be streaming through the NBC Sports Live Extra app and on NBCSports.com.
