The Sam Bradford-less Eagles suffered another significant departure for Thanksgiving Day. Left tackle Jason Peters was announced questionable to return after suffering an ankle injury during the first quarter of Thursday’s game against the Lions.
Eagles OT Jason Peters suffers ankle injury against Lions on Thanksgiving
Jason Peters has been a stalwart for the Eagles for years.

Peters can be thankful that the injury wasn’t worse. A Lions defender rolled up on Peters’ left leg, bending his knee at an awkward angle.
Peters is a seven-time Pro Bowler and a two-time first team All-Pro selection. He has arguably been the most important piece on an inconsistent offense this season, especially because he adds disarray to an offensive line protecting a shaky starter. Mark Sanchez is playing in place of Bradford, who is out with a concussion and left shoulder injury. Sanchez has thrown two touchdowns to four interceptions during his two other appearances this season.
The Lions took a 7-0 lead off an efficient passing drive from Matthew Stafford. If the Lions’ offense is clicking, the Eagles may struggle to keep up with Peters out.
