Houston Texans tight end Ryan Griffin had the best game of his career Sunday. He scored his first touchdown of 2015 in the Texans' 24-6 win over the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Ryan Griffin offers career-best performance
The tight end hadn’t been much of a factor before Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Griffin, who missed a big chunk of the season on injured reserve (designated to return), had four catches on five targets Sunday for 72 yards and the score. The team's other tight ends were basically non-factors, with Garrett Graham a healthy scratch and C.J. Fiedorowicz held to two catches for 20 yards.
Fantasy impact: Tight end has been basically a black hole for the Texans since Owen Daniels' departure before the 2014 season. Griffin, Graham and Fiedorowicz have combined to offer virtually nothing over the two seasons, with Griffin's game Sunday pretty easily the best game any of the three have offered.
When Griffin was activated from IR, the Texans basically moved on from Graham, scratching him from each of the three games since. Fiedorowicz hasn’t seen much use either, so if a Houston tight end is going to do something, it’s going to be Griffin, despite his zero-percent Yahoo! ownership. That said, the team probably doesn’t have its next fantasy-relevant tight end on its roster yet. Griffin is worth a look only in the absolute deepest of leagues.
