The Philadelphia Eagles have listed wide receiver Jordan Matthews as active, following his late-week addition to the injury report. The Eagles added Matthews to the injury report on Saturday with a back injury, and a late-week injury downgrade is always a bad sign.
Jordan Matthews active for Eagles; represents risky fantasy football option
The Philadelphia wide receiver was a question mark during with week with a back problem, but will be active Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Matthews had appeared fine much of the week before the injury report came out Saturday, and it was a bad sign that he was listed as “questionable.” But ESPN’s Josina Anderson reported he was feeling better Sunday morning and would test his back out in pregame warmups. It would appear he feels good enough to play.
Fantasy impact: Matthews has had two different 100-yard receiving games this year, and has four touchdowns, including one in each of his last two games. The problem, though, is that he also has seven games of 50 or fewer yards, including three of 21 or fewer. On a team with a rough offense, he’s been a boom-or-bust receiver with only a few big games.
Matthews is a WR3 at best in fantasy. Considering he’s unlikely to be 100 percent for Sunday’s game, he’s probably not even that in Week 14. Stick Matthews on the bench this week and see how he recovers from his injury.
