Defensive linemen know they shouldn't move until they see the ball snapped. But sometimes, they get caught by QBs yelling HUT or something else meant to simulate the noise used to call for the snap, running offsides and picking up penalties in the process. Double-edged sword here for football broadcasters. You want a mic capturing the noises of the game and the quarterback’s voice ... you’re occasionally going to get football players screaming obscenities, too.
