The New England Patriots promoted running back Joey Iosefa, with no career games played, from the practice squad Saturday in advance of the team's game Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. So of course, in true Patriots fashion, Iosefa led the team in carries in the Patriots' 33-16 win over the Titans.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Joey Iosefa gets heavy use in debut
The running back was only promoted from the practice squad Saturday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Iosefa had 14 carries Sunday for 51 yards. Brandon Bolden had 10 carries for 36 yards and two catches for 18 yards, and James White had one 6-yard carry and caught seven passes for 71 yards and a score. In the wake of season-ending injuries to Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount, it's been a process for the Patriots to sort out a true running game.
Fantasy impact: Who knows, man. Who knows. It's just like Bill Belichick and the Patriots to give 14 carries to a running back who had never before been on an active roster and who is owned in zero percent of Yahoo! fantasy leagues. Next week, maybe Jimmy Garoppolo leads the team in carries for some reason.
Regardless, the Patriots take on the New York Jets in Week 16. If the team had a clear No. 1 running back, maybe that guy still needs to be used in fantasy, but without any way to know who will get the load of carries there's just no sense in trying anyone, with the possible exception of the pass-catching White. Iosefa can safely remain on the waiver wire.
