The first half Sunday was great for Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler. He accounted for four scores as the Broncos took a big lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Things really turned for the quarterback after that -- the Broncos didn't score in the second half and ultimately lost 34-27 -- but fantasy owners who took a chance on Osweiler were still handsomely rewarded.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Brock Osweiler accounts for four scores
The Denver quarterback had his best game. We break down the fantasy implications.

For the game, Osweiler completed 21 of 44 pass attempts for 296 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception. He added 19 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on five carries. That gave 28 fantasy points to a quarterback whose previous high had been 18.
Fantasy impact: For the Broncos and real football, it's the second half that stands out for Osweiler. The team hasn't tallied a second-half point in any of its last three games. Add to that the fact that Osweiler will be going for X-rays on his left shoulder Monday after hurting it in Sunday's game, plus the possibility of a Peyton Manning returning as well as a strong Cincinnati defense looming in Week 16, and Osweiler's fantasy stock isn't particularly high.
Osweiler had 28 fantasy points Sunday, but fantasy owners shouldn’t count on that sort of production going forward.
