Having traveled through the New England Patriots' and San Francisco 49ers' rosters already this season, running back Travaris Cadet was just looking for a home. If his performance Sunday is any indication, everything old is new again, as Cadet shined in his return to the New Orleans Saints in the team's 38-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Travaris Cadet shines in Saints return
The running back only joined New Orleans on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Traditionally a pass-catching back, Cadet entered Sunday's game with 68 receiving yards on the season. He bested that Sunday alone, with 69 receiving yards on three catches, including a 44-yard score. He added a rush for six yards. With veteran back C.J. Spiller inactive, Cadet was the team's change-of-pace back behind starter Tim Hightower.
Fantasy impact: It’s kind of amazing that the Saints put up 38 points partially on the backs of a running-back duo of Hightower and Cadet, of all people, but that’s what happened. Cadet, who is more or less unowned in Yahoo! fantasy leagues, suddenly is an interesting PPR option in deeper leagues.
Outside of one broken play against Dallas in Week 4, Spiller has been a total bust in his first season in New Orleans. He was inactive Sunday, and it wouldn't be at all a surprise to see him in the same boat in Week 17, when the Saints take on the Atlanta Falcons. There is no value at all to Spiller, while Cadet could offer some value in super-deep leagues.
