The result of the College Football Playoff semifinal between Oklahoma and Clemson wasn’t in doubt for the last few minutes, and when the Sooners punted the ball back to Clemson with 2:12 remaining, they were waving the white flag.

One problem: 2:12 was just a little bit too much time to run out the clock. With three kneels, Clemson got the clock down to six seconds. So to drain the remaining four seconds, Dabo Swinney signalled to Deshaun Watson to stand around for a few seconds, and then bomb the ball up into the air long enough to run out the clock.
And he did -- right into the Clemson fan section:
Man, that’s some arm strength! We hope a lucky Clemson fan was able to hang onto that ball and leave Miami with a nice souvenir.
