Green Bay Packers tight end Richard Rodgers has spent most of his two-year career as a fairly no-name tight end, interesting largely because he shared a last name with his superstar quarterback. After a few decent games of late, though, Rodgers really erupted in the Packers' 27-23 last-second win Thursday night.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Richard Rodgers playing himself into the conversation
The tight end was all over the place in Thursday’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rodgers caught all eight of his targets in Thursday's game, going for 146 yards and a touchdown. The score came on the game's final play, hauling in a 61-yard Hail Mary from Aaron Rodgers to win the game. Richard Rodgers now has 48 catches for 439 yards and six touchdowns on the season.
Fantasy impact: For the season now, only Tyler Eifert, Rob Gronkowski and Gary Barnidge have more touchdowns among tight ends than Rodgers. On the other hand, Rodgers is only 12th at the position in yardage, and was far lower than that before Sunday's yardage -- he had only 293 yards through his first 11 games.
With the other Green Bay weapons -- primarily wide receivers Randall Cobb, Davante Adams and James Jones -- underwhelming of late, Rodgers has seen his looks increase, with at least five targets in five straight games. He's risen from fantasy waiver material to a player who must be owned. He'll be a borderline TE1 in most weeks going forward, though he's almost certainly had his best game of the season.
