New North American LCS team Immortals (which purchased Team8’s spot in the offseason) has announced its first roster, and it is a doozy. The squad is highlighted by former Fnatic duo Huni and Reignover, and also includes NA LCS veterans Pobelter, WildTurtle and Adrian.
Immortals announces star-studded League of Legends roster, including Huni and Reignover
Major additions for the team replacing Team8.

Both relatively new additions to the Fnatic lineup, Huni and Reignover helped propel the team to an undefeated EU LCS Spring Split at top and jungler, respectively. A strong showing at Worlds brought Fnatic to the semifinals along with European competitors Origen. Now Origen has upgraded with the addition of mid laner PowerOfEvil and Fnatic has to make two quality additions to keep up.
Reignover ranked first among EU junglers last split in KDA (5.7), assists (166), creep score difference at 10 minutes (+4.8) and gold difference at 10 minutes (+188.6). Huni was first among EU top laners in KDA (4.7), kills (88), damage participation (24.5 percent) and average earned gold per minute (276.4).
Adrian ranked first among all North American supports last split with a 5.6 KDA, 80.8 percent kill participation and 1.48 wards per minute. He briefly left the team during the split and was replaced by Gate, but after XiaoWeiXiao was banned, Gate moved to the mid lane and Adrian returned as the team's support. TIP finished the season very strong and Adrian helped AD Carry Apollo finish the season third in kills behind DoubleLift and Piglet.
Pobelter and WildTurtle were starting players for North American teams that made Worlds (CLG and TSM, respectively), but lost their spots during the offseason. Pobelter lost CLG’s starting mid lane position to HuHi, while TSM brought in DoubleLift to replace WildTurtle at AD Carry.
Immortals is not the first new NA LCS team to make some splash signings this offseason. NRG’s roster was highlighted by former world champion top laner Impact and GMB, one of the best mid laners in the LCK last split.
