Day 2 of the 139th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show takes place Tuesday in New York City. The event’s second day will be hosted at Madison Square Garden.

The show got underway on Monday, but several of the more notable events will be held on Tuesday. Throughout the show, dogs take part in various exercises and cosmetic competitions, with Tuesday set to include events for three breeds -- the Sporting, Working and Terrier groups will all be in action. The most important title will also be up for grabs, with the Best in Show award to be announced at the end of the night. The action will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET with the television broadcast scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. The show will be broadcast live nationally. This year, more than 2,700 dogs have entered what is the most prestigious dog show in the world.

Each dog first competes against its own breed, and the winners among the individual breeds (the Best in Breed) then compete for Best in Show. Dogs are sorted into seven groups: Sporting, Terrier, Herding, Hound, Non-Sporting, Toy and Working. The titles for Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting and Herding were awarded on Monday.

The Tuesday proceedings will be broadcast on USA Network beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The time slot is from 8-11 p.m. There will be a live stream of the event at the official website and via the official 2015 Westminster Show app.
