It’s official. Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are fighting. May 2. 2015. Las Vegas. It’s happening. One of the most long-awaited fights in boxing history is really happening.
Which year is most excited for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao?
Just how long-awaited is the most long-awaited fight in boxing history?

However, the fight is rather... well... long-awaited. As soon as the deal got announced, people expressed excitement, but also expressed their resentment that this fight didn’t happen five years ago. Or four years ago. Or six years ago?
So let’s find out: Which year is most excited about Mayweather-Pacquiao?
2007
I'd be more excited about this Pac-Man-Mayweather news is if it was approximately 2007 right now.

— Logan Trent (@TheLoganTrent) February 20, 2015 Too bad its not 2010. Then I would be a lot more excited about this Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao fight. They're past there prime now
— Ryan Hoppe (@RMGHOPPE) February 20, 2015 If it was 2010 Id be excited about Mayweather v Pacquio the fight lost its shine long time ago

— Michael Coleman (@MColeyColeman) February 20, 2015 If this were 2010, I'd be a lot more excited to see Mayweather/Pacquiao. That "superfight" has lost a lot of its appeal over the years.

— Tyler Artley (@TJAakaTown) February 20, 2015 2030
I disagree with you all, Pacquiao/Mayweather needs another 15 years to reach peak ripeness
— SPENCER HALL (@edsbs) February 20, 2015 I think the winner is probably 2010, but nice showing from 2008 and 2009. Seems like we're between five and seven years too late.
Either way, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao! Still exciting!
