Luke Kennard is 6’5 shooting guard out of Ohio ranked among the top 25 college basketball recruits in the class of 2015. He’s going to Duke next season as part of a two-man recruiting class that also includes center Chase Jeter, ranked the No. 9 recruit in the class by ESPN. Kennard has been putting up huge numbers at Franklin High School throughout his career, and on Friday he passed a notable name on the state’s all-time scoring list.
Duke recruit passes LeBron James on Ohio high school scoring list
LeBron James is now No. 5 on Ohio’s all-time scoring list.

You might have heard of him: LeBron James.
By scoring 44 points against Brookville, Kennard moved past James to claim fourth place on the state’s all-time scoring list.
James knows Kennard well. Kennard plays for his grassroots team -- King James Shooting Stars -- on Nike’s EYBL circuit this past summer. When asked about Kennard, James said:
“He’s good,” James said when asked about Kennard on Thursday. “He’s going to Duke.
“He’s one of my kids. That’s great. I’m happy for him.”
Kennard was recently named a McDonald’s All-American. You can catch him and the rest of the best high school players in the country on April 1.
