Joel Embiid is throwing down between-the-legs dunks, drilling threes

He’s not ready to play yet, but the Sixers’ big man prospect looks good.

Joel Embiid’s first year under NBA contract hasn’t been ideal. He’s mainly famous for his weird tweets and reports he was getting fat while sidelined with a foot injury. But here he is warming up before a Sixers game... and... well, see for yourself:

Embiid isn’t just not not in shape, he’s throwing down between-the-legs dunks. Not many 7-footers have the athleticism and coordination to do that even when they haven’t been sidelined for a year with an injury. Really impressive. (Yes, this is off the foot that wasn’t injured.)

Perhaps more impressive? His stroke from the corner:

Nerlens Noel missed his first year in the NBA with injury, and he’s been spectacular for the Sixers. If Joel Embiid is a sweet-shooting, high-flying big man whenever he is ready to play... well, that’d be pretty spectacular for the Sixers.
