The most anticipated matchup of the first round continues with the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers meeting for Game 2 on Wednesday night at the Staples Center. The Clippers currently hold a 1-0 series lead after earning an impressive Game 1 win and will look to head into San Antonio with a chance to really put the pressure on the defending champs.

San Antonio and Los Angeles were among the hottest teams in the NBA to end the regular season, each rattling off win after win during the stretch run. The teams only managed to get stuck together in the first round because the standings were so crowded with winning teams.
The Clippers were the ones to strike first in the series, though, with a 107-92 win that featured Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan at their best. Griffin slammed down several impressive dunks, Paul finished with 32 points and Jordan did his thing anchoring the defense.
It was a great effort, and one that may have surprised the Spurs even if they expected a tough matchup. Expect San Antonio to come out with some adjustments for Game 2 and look to avoid getting into a hole.
