Can Bryant Jennings begin a mid-rounds rally? He’s hanging in there, he’s trying everything he can, he’s getting in some body shots. He’s also losing every round to Wladimir Klitschko at Madison Square Garden.

Bryant Jennings is looking alive as we wrap up the first half of his fight with Wladimir Klitschko.

Jennings acknowledges a stiff jab from Klitschko early in the round, right after landing his own solid body shot. That’s been the best weapon for Jennings, by far. Klitschko’s best weapon has been, as usual, his jab. Referee keeps saying, “don’t hold,” and Klitschko isn’t holding as much as usual. So that’s something. At least there’s that.
Klitschko with a little right hand to the side of the head, not a lot on it. Jennings walks into a right hand, again doesn’t land very clean. Jennings trying to outwork Klitschko in this round, and he’s certainly throwing more power shots. Whether he’s doing much is another question.
Jennings gets Klitschko slightly off balance late in the round, but Klitschko recovers from that and lands a couple shots before the bell. Jennings may have taken his first round here with a couple hooks and a decent right hand.
