Mayweather vs. Pacquiao latest odds: Floyd staying steady as the favorite
Floyd Mayweather is holding as the solid but not overwhelming favorite to win on Saturday night.
Just like the last two days, Floyd Mayweather is holding steady at various sports books as the favorite for Saturday's Mayweather-Pacquiao fight at the MGM Grand, presented on PPV by HBO and Showtime. Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO) is favored between -200 and -225, with Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO) listed between +175 and +200, which is staying in line with how the money has looked over the last week or so.
You can also get around +1800 odds if you want to bet on the fight ending in a draw, and since the sports world can be full of conspiratorial thinkers who will theorize that a draw = a rematch = more money, maybe that’s enticing for you.
On the business end of the spectrum, one line has the over/under for pay-per-view sales set at 3.15 million, with the over favored at -250. The under has a line of +170. Another more ambitious book has the over/under at 3.8 million, with the over favored at -167 to +120 for the under.
How about some rough play? It’s +600 that someone will get a point deducted for fouls in the fight, and -600 that neither man will. Both fighters are +700 individually to be the first to receive a potential points deduction.
Mayweather is -230 to have the better connect percentage at the end of the fight, with Pacquiao at +350. Here’s one where you can really cash in: Will all three judges rule the fight a draw, that is will each of the judges score the fight dead even? If you say yes, well, $100 down could net you $15,250. If you want to say no and win $100, just plunk down $23,000.
There’s a line on a potential rematch, too, with no rematch within one year favored at -305, compared to +220 for there being a rematch within one year. In short, you can bet on just about anything with this fight.
