Derrick Rose will "likely" return to the Chicago Bulls' lineup by the end of next week, Lisa Salters reported on the ABC broadcast of Sunday's game between the Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Chicago Bulls point guard had knee surgery in late February.

“He’s not sure,” Salters said of Rose’s exact return date. “They’re discussing it with the doctors, the front office, the coaches. But he told me likely sometime this week.”
Rose underwent knee surgery on Feb. 27 and was expected to miss four to six weeks. Friday, Apr. 10, would be exactly six weeks after the procedure. His return can’t come soon enough for the Bulls, who have gone 10-8 with Rose on the sidelines.
In the 46 games he has played this season, Rose is averaging 18.4 points and five assists per game.
Earlier on Sunday, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters that Rose's return date was uncertain. "Only he knows his body and that's the big thing," Thibodeau said. "So he's got to continue to work through it and I trust him. When he says, he's ready."
Rose’s return is just in time for the playoffs. Currently, the Bulls are third in the East.
