Buzzer beaters are a rare thing in basketball. Think of how many possible outcomes a basketball game can have. The vast majority aren’t close enough to be decided in the final handful of seconds. Even those that are usually end with clinching baskets that happen well before time expires. It’s exceedingly rare for one game to be decided by a walk-off shot.
That's why this weekend in the NBA Playoffs was so remarkable. On Friday, a stone-faced Derrick Rose banked in a three and gave Chicago a 2-1 series lead. On Saturday, Paul Pierce called game and saved a Wizards collapse. On Sunday, LeBron James faded to the deep corner and swished a jumper to match Rose's buzzer beater and tie the Cavaliers-Bulls series at two.
Three days, three buzzer beaters. Enjoy all three of them in this one clip.
These NBA Playoffs are no longer boring.
