Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving limped badly to the bench after stepping on a teammate’s foot during the second quarter of Game 6 against the Bulls. Irving’s left foot made contact with Tristan Thompson and he had trouble walking off the court.
The Cavaliers initially said he would return, but once the Cavaliers played well without him in the second quarter, his status changed to doubtful, according to ESPN’s Lisa Salters.
Irving is already playing through a right foot strain and left knee tendinitis. He’s admitted multiple times that he likely wouldn’t be playing if this was the regular season.
