Michael Jordan is probably the greatest basketball player of all time. If LeBron James continues being great at basketball for another decade-plus, he might be considered the greatest basketball player of all time when he retires. Both of these are difficult statements to disagree with.
Polls find actual human idiots who think 52-year-old Michael Jordan could beat LeBron in 1-on-1
LeBron James is one of the best basketball players in the world. Michael Jordan is a golf dad who used to be one of the best basketball players in the world. Some stupid idiots actually think the golf dad could beat the NBA player.

However, some huge idiots said a stupid idiot thing that is very easy to disagree with: A poll by Public Policy Polling and an online poll by ESPN both found that 34 percent of people think that 52-year-old Michael Jordan could beat LeBron James in a game of one-on-one if they played today.
Public Policy Polling asked 1,471 registered voters, 77 percent of whom said MJ is the greatest of all time, and 34 percent of whom said current MJ would beat current LeBron if they played today. ESPN’s poll, which is still live on their site, hasover 16,000 voters, 34 percent which think MJ would win and an additional 15 percent who say LeBron would win, but it would be close.
Let’s talk about this for a second.
LeBron James is an incredibly talented player currently playing in the NBA. In the Eastern Conference semifinals, which just ended last night with LeBron's Cavaliers winning, LeBron James averaged 26.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists. Against NBA competition in 2015, LeBron James can average damn near a 25-point triple double, and nobody is particularly surprised by it, because he is LeBron James and he is very, very, very good at playing basketball in 2015.
Michael Jordan retired from basketball in 2003, 12 years ago. In that season, he very clearly showed signs of age, scoring just 20.0 points per game -- a far cry from his championship years, when he never scored less than 28.7 per game. This was 12 years ago. Michael Jordan now looks like a husky golf dad.

Elite NBA player LeBron James is taller, faster and stronger than 52-year-old golf dad Michael Jordan. He also regularly plays basketball, because that is his job, while 52-year-old Michael Jordan seems to spend most of his time golfing and smoking cigars and stuff besides playing basketball
If you think 52-year-old Michael Jordan could beat LeBron James in a game of one-on-one -- and apparently there are many of you who do! -- I am forced to conclude that you are either wildly delusional or a huge idiot, and I never want to hear your opinion about anything ever again because of your complete inability to use reason. Good day.
It should be noted that MJ reportedly beat Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in one-on-one two years ago. Guys, LeBron James is a lot better at basketball than Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
