Another Duke Blue Devil has been drafted. Tyus Jones, the 6'1 guard out of Minnesota, has been acquired by his hometown Timberwolves with the No. 24 pick. The Timberwolves will send the Cleveland Cavaliers the No. 31 and 36 picks in return.

The Timberwolves have acquired Jones with the No. 24 pick.
Jones is the third Blue Devil to hear his name called by Adam Silver Thursday night, joining Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow.
Jones, 19, arrives in the NBA after just one year in Durham, where he helped lead Duke to a 2015 national championship victory over Wisconsin. Jones in that game scored 23 points, including 19 in the second half. He was named the game’s Most Outstanding Player.
On the season Jones averaged 11.8 points and 5.6 assists in 34 minutes per game while shooting 42 percent from the field. He connected on 38 percent of his three-pointers and was one of the best free-throw shooters in the nation at 89 percent. He earned an honorable mention selection on the Associate Press’ All-American Team and was named third team All-ACC. In high school, Jones was rated the second best point guard in his class.
Jones should fit in nicely as a backup to Ricky Rubio and has the potential to start if Rubio is eventually traded. He is a solid shooter on the pick and roll, which makes him an especially good fit in Flip Saunders' offensive system.
