High school recruit passes ‘Go,’ commits to Wisconsin via Monopoly

Now more than ever, colleges have to be flashy to recruit football players for the upcoming season. For some colleges, it involves creative complex scholarship offers that resemble nightclub flyers. The prospective players themselves get into this from time to time. In the case of A.J. Taylor, a wide receiver from Kansas City, Mo., that came in the form of Monopoly.

Yes—Monopoly, the board game.

Apparently Monopoly is a big thing in the Taylor household, so they decided to incorporate it into A.J.‘s decision by making a custom board to make the announcement. He ultimately decided to join the Wisconsin Badgers.

Congratulations to A.J. and the Taylor family. Just make sure that when you pass ‘Go’, don’t collect the $200. That might be a violation of NCAA rules.
