The young Jazz point guard may have suffered a serious injury during an international friendly.

Emerging second-year Utah Jazz point guard Dante Exum suffered a non-contact injury on his left knee during an Australia National Team exhibition game against Slovenia. The Jazz announced that he will return to Salt Lake City for further treatment and a diagnosis.
As the video shows, Exum was attempting a jump stop in the lane when his left knee buckled. He was ushered back to the locker room and later emerged with a brace on his knee.

— Damir Radenovic (@MrDee25) August 4, 2015 The two teams were preparing for different international competitions. Australia will compete in the FIBA Oceania Championships from Aug. 15-18, while Slovenia will begin its Eurobasket 2015 on Sept. 5. It appears unlikely that Exum will return to the Australian team when the competition begins, but no further diagnosis has been made.
The 20-year-old 2014 No. 5 pick averaged five points and 2.4 assists per game last season, but showed flashes of his potential, particularly on defense. If he is out for an extended time, Trey Burke, himself a former first-round pick, must step in.
