Whitecaps defender’s 1st pro goal comes on sensational sidefoot effort

Tim Parker’s impressive season got even better

Vancouver Whitecaps young defender Tim Parker produced a terrific highlight for his first professional goal Wednesday night. The 22-year-old scored a superb side volley goal off a corner kick against the rival Seattle Sounders in the CONCACAF Champions League group stage.

Parker's reputation in MLS has grown immensely this year, due to his solid displays. This goal will only help continue the praise he is getting.
