Floyd Mayweather opened as the big betting favorite for Saturday’s bout against Andre Berto, and the pound-for-pound king has stayed that way, with odds running between minus-2100 and minus-5000 for Mayweather to stay unbeaten in what is supposedly his final fight.
Mayweather vs. Berto 2015 odds: Floyd holding as huge favorite
Floyd Mayweather is the massive favorite to beat Andre Berto, but the undercard figures to be more competitive.

Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO) is coming off of a legacy-defining victory against Manny Pacquiao in May, and his fight with Berto (30-3, 23 KO) is seen not just as a step back, but a risk-free situation that could see Mayweather ride off into the sunset by completing his record deal with CBS Sports/Showtime, if indeed he does not fight again. Most are skeptical about that part, as it’s not the first time that Mayweather has announced plans to retire, and even at 38, he seems to have a lot more money-making potential in the years to come.
Berto’s odds are between plus-1100 and plus-1400 to score the upset, so while this wouldn’t exactly be Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson, it would be a shocker.
Some of the bill’s undercard bouts are much more competitive on paper. WBC super middleweight titleholder Badou Jack will be making his first defense against England’s George Groves, who is actually favored to win in his third attempt at claiming a world title. Groves is between minus-150 and minus-160 right now, with Jack between plus-120 and plus-140.
Rocky Martinez is around a minus-220 favorite to win his rematch with Orlando Salido, with the WBO super featherweight title at stake. Martinez beat Salido for the belt in April, when he had home-ring advantage in Puerto Rico. Salido is around plus-180 as the underdog.
Junior middleweight contenders Vanes Martirosyan and Ishe Smith are also ready to square off. Martirosyan is listed around plus-450 on most books, with Smith, a Mayweather Promotions fighter, at around plus-350.
