John Calipari invites all his former players on stage during Hall of Fame enshrinement speech

Going into Friday night’s Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony, you were probably expecting to see three things out of John Calipari: Lots of celebrating, working the crowd and recruiting. And believe us, he delivered on all three.

As you’d expect, big name players to come out of Kentucky -- guys like John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns were there:

But it wasn’t just the top overall draft picks who showed up. Devin Booker made the flight out from Phoenix to be there:

Calipari even brought his priest!

Calipari used his speech to do the same thing he always does: Work the crowd. He spent his entire speech thanking his family, friends, mentors and the players he coached at Massachusetts, Memphis and Kentucky. Near the end of his speech he called up every player he coached that was in attendance, 64 in all:

Of course DeMarcus Cousins had to have some fun on stage when Calipari asked players to raise their hands if he’d ever held them back:

You can watch the whole speech here.
