The NFL has been tweeting out cute caricatures to get fans hyped for important games. They’re neat!
Why does the NFL think star players can shoot footballs out of their heads?
And why does it think star wide receivers catch balls with their faces?

However:
One more game until Week 2 is in the books. And it's gonna be a good one. #NYJvsIND pic.twitter.com/MrSUyDsLJ3
— NFL (@NFL) September 22, 2015 Here, Darrelle Revis is spitting a ball out of his head, and T.Y. Hilton is trying to catch it with the right side of his face while holding a hands out to the side.
Every catch. Every run. Every stiff-arm. Every score. Every snap is a chance to reclaim dominance. #SundayFunday pic.twitter.com/IeZhPIeKHc
— NFL (@NFL) September 20, 2015 While it looked like Hilton's hands *might* be in position to make the catch if it avoided his head, not so with Calvin Johnson. That ball is shooting straight out of the top of Adrian Peterson's bald dome and into Johnson's. I'm starting to think the receivers' unfortunate habit of staring directly at the viewer is hurting them: they're completely failing to place their hands in between their face and the ball, allowing the ball to doink them violently.

— NFL (@NFL) September 14, 2015 The good news is the Cowboys are fine: Tony Romo's collarbone might be broken, but he's still good at spitting balls out of his right cranium. Odell Beckham Jr. has become famous for his one-handed catches, but right now he's just whiffing with his hands and letting the ball smack him in the face. Maybe he'll still catch it? That guy keeps finding new ways to impress.
Whether it’s punishing 8 in the box. Taking the top off the defense. The goal is the same. Get the W. #SundayFunday pic.twitter.com/pzAvOG0kir
— NFL (@NFL) September 18, 2015 Antonio Brown is in luck: this ball looks like it's going to hit his shoulder and not his head. Still, I think he should put his hands on the side where the football is, and not the side where there is no football.
.@Lions vs. @Seahawks? The final game of Week 4 is going to be a good one. #DETvsSEA #MNF pic.twitter.com/fAdE8vgF5a
— NFL (@NFL) October 6, 2015 Four weeks into the season and the NFL still hasn’t learned that Richard Sherman can’t shoot footballs out of his head. Or can he........?
