The much-anticipated matchup between Tim Hudson and Barry Zito didn't last very long on the mound in Oakland, but that doesn't mean it wasn't very cool.

Hudson was staked to a 4-0 lead but the Giants starter walked three and hit two batters in the second inning, and was pulled mid-batter with a 2-0 count because he couldn't find the strike zone. Hudson, who pitched his first six seasons and made 183 starts for Oakland, received a long ovation from A's fans.
Zito didn’t last much longer, facing just one batter in the third inning, but he walked off the field to great appreciation for his 223 starts (make that 224 now!) and eight years in Oakland, which included a Cy Young award in 2002.
