Red Sox tape rookie to dugout pole, provide further proof that baseball is weird

Baseball loves to haze its rookies. Most of the time it's harmless fun. Sometimes, it involves dropping rookies off behind enemy lines. On Saturday, Henry Owens, a 23-year-old rookie pitcher with the Red Sox, got his from his teammates.

It didn't go unnoticed that, much like their on-field performance, the Red Sox taping skills have diminished drastically. Just look at what they did to Pedro Martinez in 1999.
