The Grizzlies are coming back by forcing teams to play their way. The Celtics are floundering by forgetting what got them there. Sunday’s game was a microcosm of the Grizzlies’ strength and the Celtics’ weakness.

They built up a 21-point lead in the third quarter, but then the defense crumbled. The Grizzlies took advantage.

Although things seemed terrible for this young Knicks fan when the team drafted Kristaps Porzingis, he’s doing a whole lot better. Everyone in this situations is, actually. Porzingis is flourishing into one of the most entertaining players the Knicks have seen in recent memory. Because of that, Three 6 Latvia is getting more fans, including the sad kid at the draft.

The Blazers trailed by seven with 3:20 to go, then Lillard went off. He hit five threes in 1:55, finishing it off with the game winner with 1:12 remaining as Portland went on to take the victory, 115-110.

Based on the look Porzingis had after the shot, he’ll probably be pretty confident in a three-point contest.

The Brooklyn Nets are cleaning house after a disappointing 10-27 start to the season. Brooklyn has fired coach Lionel Hollins less than two years into his tenure with the team, and general manager Billy King will step down after six years with the club, the team announced.

“It’s clear from our current state of affairs that we need new leadership,” owner Mikhail Prokhorov said in a statement. “With the right basketball management and coach in place, we are going to create a winning culture and identity and give Brooklyn a team that it can be proud of and enjoy watching.”
