Seahawks, Patriots and Steelers are way-too-early 2017 Super Bowl favorites

Less than a month remains until Super Bowl 50, but odds for the Lombardi Trophy in 2017 have already been released.

The Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are all still chasing the chance to play in Super Bowl 50, but the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has already pegged them as the top contenders for the Lombardi Trophy in 2017.

With more than a year until Super Bowl LI in Houston, the SuperBook is giving the Seahawks, Patriots and Steelers all 8-to-1 odds to win it all in February 2017, according to Sporting News.

In the Cinderella category there are seven teams at 50-to-1 with the San Francisco 49ers just behind at 60-to-1. Then way behind the entire pack are the Cleveland Browns in the “never going to happen” category at 200-to-1.

The full Super Bowl LI odds:

Team Odds Team Odds Team Odds Team Odds
Seahawks 8-1 Broncos 20-1 Giants 40-1 Dolphins 50-1
Patriots 8-1 Vikings 20-1 Washington 40-1 Titans 50-1
Steelers 8-1 Colts 20-1 Eagles 40-1 Jaguars 50-1
Packers 10-1 Chiefs 20-1 Bears 40-1 Raiders 50-1
Cardinals 10-1 Jets 30-1 Lions 40-1 Chargers 50-1
Bengals 12-1 Bills 30-1 Saints 40-1 Buccaneers 50-1
Panthers 12-1 Ravens 30-1 Falcons 40-1 49ers 60-1
Cowboys 14-1 Texans 40-1 Rams 50-1 Browns 200-1

Among the most interesting odds are the strong ones for the Dallas Cowboys after a 4-12 season. With Tony Romo back in 2016, the SuperBook is giving the Cowboys a better chance at winning it all than five teams that made the playoffs in 2015.

Washington and Houston evidently didn’t impress with 9-7 campaigns to win the NFC East and AFC South, respectively. Both were bounced in the Wild Card round of the playoffs and have 40-to-1 odds in 2016. The Minnesota Vikings were also one-and-done in the playoffs, and Adrian Peterson has already vowed that his goals for next season are an NFC North title and trip to the Super Bowl, which the SuperBook is giving them 20-to-1 odds to win.

There are eight teams still alive for Super Bowl 50, which is now less than a month away. According to Bovada, the Arizona Cardinals and Patriots are the betting favorites, while the Steelers and Green Bay Packers are the long shots.
