Clippers fans have no interest in breaking up the best team in franchise history
To the outside world, the Clippers’ mix may seem stale. To Clippers fans, it’s far better than the alternative.

It seems like the Clippers are on the verge of a breakup every year they fail to reach the conference finals. Should this season be any different? One thing is for certain: Clippers fans have lived through far, far worse.
That’s why lifelong followers like Clips Nation’s Lucas Hann aren’t surprised the team didn’t entertain trade offers for Blake Griffin after another heartbreaking early playoff defeat. But could the impending free agency of Griffin and Chris Paul force the team’s hands? We’ll see.
Among the other topics discussed:
- Which recent playoff collapse was most painful?
- What should we expect from Griffin after a tumultuous 2015-16 season. Will he play a different role after the Clippers survived decently in his absence?
- Who starts at small forward? (This question sounds familiar). Who will play off the bench?
- Should we be worried that Chris Paul, J.J. Redick and DeAndre Jordan will decline with age?
- Will a conference finals berth feel the same given the dearth of competition (outside of the Spurs) and the Warriors’ dominance?
Next up: the Oklahoma City Thunder.
