The New York Jets are playing the Cleveland Browns, and they paid tribute to the saddest franchise in the NFL by having quarterback injuries.
Ryan Fitzpatrick passes concussion protocol, returns to action against Cleveland
Yet another week with a quarterback change for the Jets

The Jets’ Ryan Fitzpatrick left the game Sunday afternoon as he entered concussion protocol, leaving Todd Bowles to put in Bryce Petty at quarterback. This comes after Fitzpatrick had a tough and public spat with head coach Todd Bowles.
Petty warmed up and was ready to take over the New York offense, but Fitzpatrick was cleared to return before the former Baylor star had an opportunity to take a snap.
Petty was officially the No. 2 quarterback after Sunday morning’s depth chart was revealed. Some felt it may have been Christian Hackenberg, but people in New York are almost universally in agreement that any change is welcome.
Petty has never started an NFL game, and many have called for either himself or Hackenberg to start if Fitzpatrick is unable to get things going against the winless Browns. If the veteran QB is ineffective today, there’s still a chance he’ll see the field.
