Washington cornerback Josh Norman drew five flags in a matchup against A.J. Green and the Cincinnati Bengals, and he blames “official 88” for the calls.
Josh Norman says ‘official 88’ sucked and should be reprimanded
Josh Norman picked up five flags Sunday and blames third-year field judge Brad Freeman for the calls.

Three of the five penalties were accepted and two declined, including a pass interference on Green that was still hauled in for a 40-yard reception in the fourth quarter of a London game that ended in a 27-27 tie. After the game, Norman singled out third-year field judge Brad Freeman for poor officiating.
“Who is official 88?” Norman asked reporters, who eventually told him it was Freeman. “I’ve gotta know. You suck. I’m just putting it out there. He was terrible, I feel like he should be reprimanded.
“They reprimand us, so what’s the reprimand for them?”
Norman was physical with Green for most of the game. Four of the five flags he drew were for illegal use of hands (one was declined).
Norman has always been an outspoken player, who has blasted the NFL for its “double standard” as moral police, and even said in the offseason that he thinks NFL officials are controlled by the mob.
It seems unlikely that Freeman will get reprimanded for his calls Sunday, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Norman gets a talking-to for his comments.
